# The Problem

Climate change is one of the most pressing issues facing our planet today. The effects of climate change are already being felt around the world, and without action, these effects will only continue to worsen. However, many people and organizations are not taking the necessary steps to reduce their carbon footprint or mitigate the effects of climate change caused by the Greenhouse Effect.

One of the main reasons for this is the lack of financial incentives for environmentally-friendly behavior. Many individuals and organizations do not see the immediate financial benefits of taking action to reduce their carbon footprint, and therefore, are not motivated to do so. GreenX aims to change this by creating a reward-based system that incentivizes and rewards environmentally-friendly behavior.
